Environment Protection
The environment is comprised of living and non-living things of our surrounding that
nurtures life on the earth. A clean and balanced environment is very necessary to live a peaceful
and healthy life. But now days, our everyday actions and decisions are negatively impacting the
environment, causing pollution, deforestation, overfishing etc. We are disturbing our
environment in many ways which affects not only the environment but all living beings. As the
most intelligent species, it is our duty to think about protecting the environment, but in
contrast, it is only the human being who is responsible for the destruction of the environment.
The destruction of nature will result in the decline of life-support system for us and future
generations.
The most important action for environmental protection is to enroot the thoughts and
awareness about the importance of environment inside every individual. Efforts made at the
individual level are very important to protect the environment. If environmental education is
given to children in the present day schools by formal and informal methods, humanity can get
rid of this danger. Among various means, the plantation play very crucial role in conserving the
environment. A well known saying in Matsya Puranam is “one tree is equal to ten sons”.
Environmental protection focuses on solving problems arising from the interaction
between humans and environmental systems. Government and many organizations are doing a
lot for the protection of environment. Our foundation has also taken some initiatives for it.
- 1. Promotion of reduce, reuse, recycle initiative
- 2. Promoting the organic and natural farming
- 3. Plantation
- 4. Plant distribution
